In the Hamilton County 4-H program the top honor you can receive for all your hard work is to be awarded the "Top Exhibitor Award". In 2014 when Caroline realize the kids were not given anything other than recognition she decided to not only take on sponsoring the award, but to expand the Top Exhibitor Award to include a top junior as well as a reserve top senior and reserve top junior. This expansion allows the students who are too young for the senior division to still have something to strive for as well as a second place winner in each class so the youth continue to push themselves and better their skills in the areas they choose. She awards the kids with a plaque they can keep distinguishing their achievements along with a monetary donation to put back into their project. Caroline feels this award sponsorship is a good way for her to support the youth of the county in a meaningful way.
Being raised a 4-H Member Caroline also has become involved with several local 4-H groups and was asked to serve as the Hamilton County 4-H Rabbit Supervisor. Caroline has helped 4-H members learn how to handle and care for their animals and she hopes she can help instill confidence and pride in the student members. Caroline’s service to 4-H in the local area counties is just beginning but she hopes it will help bring the rural community closer to a business based on rural foundations.
Community involvement is extremely important to Caroline. She is involved in many different aspects of the community such as local parades, the annual Santa event her agency puts on each year, booths at local fairs, and she plans to continue to grow her involvement.
